Jacob Guevara, Sr. is a financial advisor with Serve & Protect Financial, servicing clients in the South Florida Tri-County area, and a 28-year veteran with the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Jacob has a passion for helping his fellow first responders and their families build their dream retirements and protect against the uncertainty of this profession with life insurance and estate planning. Having been a member of the Florida Retirement System for many years, he is an expert in the often-confusing ins and outs of the system, as well as other local police department retirement plans. Jacob started his journey into the financial services industry in 2008 facilitating personal finance courses and later received his financial designations of the Florida 2-15 and Series 65 in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
Jacob’s career as a law enforcement officer began in 1995 with the City of Pompano Beach until they were incorporated into the Broward Sheriff’s Office in 1999. He has primarily served with road patrol, building relationships within the communities he served, but he has also been a member of specialty units such as SWAT and BSO’s Unmanned Aerial Systems unit.”
